Our client, a prestigious insurance firm, is seeking an accomplished Senior Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various insurance lines of business. This position requires a deep understanding of actuarial principles, statistical modeling, and risk management frameworks within the insurance industry. Responsibilities: Develop and implement sophisticated risk assessment models for underwriting, claims, and investment portfolios. Analyze large datasets to identify emerging risks, trends, and potential exposures. Quantify financial impact of identified risks and develop strategies for mitigation and control. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and actuarial departments to provide risk insights and recommendations. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management policies and procedures. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on risk assessments, findings, and proposed actions for senior management. Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices in risk management. Assist in the development and implementation of risk management tools and technologies. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by management. Contribute to the overall risk culture and awareness within the organization. Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on risk analysis techniques. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk analysis, actuarial science, or a related role within the insurance industry. Strong understanding of insurance products, operations, and regulatory environments. Proficiency in statistical modeling software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and data analysis tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly. Experience with risk management frameworks (e.g., ERM) is highly desirable. Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, or actuarial exams are a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
