THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SAFETY AND HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE PERFORMING GENERAL AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE ON OFFICE FACILITY EQUIPMENT, A WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF ROBOTIC SYSTEMS, PROFICIENCY WITH MACHINE TOOLS, EXPERIENCE WITH ELECTRICAL REPAIRS SUCH AS SOLDERING AND HOT AIR REWORK, AND STRONG COMPETENCY WITH GENERAL COMPUTER SYSTEMS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with engineers for PCB rework tasks such as soldering and hot air rework
  • Install and operate machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, 3D printers, band saws, drill presses, etc.
  • Organize and inventory facility assets
  • Partnering in planning and executing facility expansion efforts
  • Periodically inventory and maintain our development robotics
  • Oversee and support sub-contactors
  • Prioritize facility safety and flag concerns
  • Assemble robots (consisting of mechanical structures, electro-mechanical components, and wiring harnesses)
  • Perform component-level and assembly-level testing and diagnostics
  • Perform component-level calibration
  • Maintain component and lab inventories
  • Troubleshoot and repair robots using hardware and software tools, including board-level rework
  • Charge and care for battery packs
  • Perform firmware and software upgrades
  • Assist with onsite manufacturing activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or technical certification in Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Training in safety practices and the ability to assess and mitigate worker risks
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Valid Class C license or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs, safety climbing ladders, repetitively bending, and reaching hard-to-access parts while wearing appropriate PPE.
