Job Description

Our client, a leader in Industrial Engineering, is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Lead Industrial Design Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is critical for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative and user-centric products that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements. You will lead design projects from ideation through to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, product management, and marketing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills, a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, and a passion for creating impactful and aesthetically pleasing products. This is a remote-first position, offering the opportunity to shape product development with maximum flexibility. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the industrial design process for new product development, from concept generation to final production-ready designs. Develop innovative product concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping. Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet functional requirements. Create detailed design specifications, including form, fit, finish, materials, and color. Conduct user research and market analysis to inform design decisions and identify user needs. Present design concepts and proposals to internal stakeholders and clients. Manage design projects, timelines, and resources effectively. Stay abreast of emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes. Mentor and guide junior industrial designers and contribute to the design team's overall growth. Ensure designs align with brand identity and product strategy. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related design field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial design, with a proven track record of successful product launches. Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a wide range of design skills, including conceptualization, 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Alias, Rhino, KeyShot, or similar. Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining), and DFM (Design for Manufacturability). Excellent visual communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Ability to translate user needs and technical constraints into compelling product designs. Strong leadership and project management capabilities. Experience working in a fast-paced product development environment. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a fully remote, cross-functional team. This is a unique opportunity for a senior industrial designer to lead innovation and product creation for a dynamic company, operating entirely remotely.
