The Difference You Make:

The Senior Loss Forecasting Analyst will strengthen the firm's risk management capabilities by designing and advancing loss forecasting frameworks for consumer auto portfolios. Partnering across business lines, they will build risk-based analytical datasets and deliver data-driven insights that inform strategic planning, enhance portfolio management, and improve the accuracy of financial and risk forecasts.

Position Summary

  • Design, develop, and maintain loss forecasting methodologies, models, and tools to support consumer auto portfolio risk planning.
  • Produce forecasts for gross losses and recoveries using quantitative and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Build and manage risk-based analytical datasets by integrating data from internal and external sources.
  • Perform advanced data analysis including trend identification, variance analysis, and data quality assessments to uncover key risk drivers.
  • Develop and enhance reporting capabilities, dashboards, and automation processes to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Support budgeting, planning, audits, and ad hoc analysis through accurate and timely data preparation and reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and Risk Analytics subject matter experts to align on methodologies, strategies, and business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and risk governance frameworks while identifying and mitigating risk exposure.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field - Required.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field - Preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Risk Analytics, Risk Management, or a related analytical role in the Banking or Financial Services industry - Required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in statistical programming tools such as Python and SQL for data analysis, task automation and model development. - Required.
  • Experience building PowerBI dashboards - Preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of loss forecasting methodologies, including predictive modeling, classification algorithms, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of statistical applications within financial services and the ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Experience developing predictive tools, templates, and scalable analytical processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, concise, and structured outputs.
  • Strong data visualization and reporting skills, including dashboard development.
  • Proven ability to improve and automate processes using technology.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.
  • High attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader strategic objectives.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
