Senior Manager - Advanced Analytics

About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable Senior Manager - Advanced Analytics to lead and grow a central analytics capability within a large financial services organisation.
This is a hands-on leadership role within the second line risk function, responsible for shaping and delivering advanced analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making, risk management, and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in modernising analytics capabilities and embedding data-driven approaches across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of analytics professionals
- Provide coaching and mentorship to support team growth and capability building
- Delivery & Execution
- Own the intake, prioritisation, and delivery of advanced analytics initiatives
- Design and deliver scalable analytics solutions, including dashboards and reporting
- Drive automation and efficiency through modern analytics tooling
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary analytics contact for senior stakeholders across the business
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support a service-led delivery model
- Define scope, timelines, and delivery expectations in partnership with stakeholders
- Strategy & Modernisation
- Contribute to the broader analytics and risk strategy
- Lead initiatives that enhance analytics capability, resilience, and operational efficiency
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with risk management frameworks, policies, and regulatory expectations
- Support robust risk identification, escalation, and reporting processes
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading analytics teams within banking or financial services
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing at senior levels
- Hands-on experience delivering analytics solutions alongside leadership responsibilities
- Proficiency in modern analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Python, automation tools)
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop high-performing teams
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
