Position: Senior Manager of Global Trade Operations
Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
Global Trade Compliance Leadership
- Act as the key expert on all import and export laws, regulations, and compliance requirements across the globe.
- Develop and maintain strong processes to ensure adherence to trade and customs regulations, including export controls, sanctions, and import laws.
- Collaborate with Legal and operational teams to identify and mitigate trade compliance risks, ensuring alignment with internal policies and government requirements.
- Lead regional trade operations teams in conducting trade risk assessments and compliance audits.
Strategic and Operational Excellence
- Contribute to the development of the global strategy for trade management and compliance as a vital member of the leadership team.
- Design and implement global trade structures and resource plans that fulfill government requirements and business goals.
- Ensure performance and consistency across regions with robust, standardized, and auditable import and export processes.
- Drive the development of trade and tariff optimization strategies, such as foreign-trade-zone (FTZ) programs and tariff classification improvements, to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
Systems, Analytics, and Process Optimization
- Initiate and implement system controls and automation for trade operations, focusing on accuracy, quality, efficiency, and risk reduction.
- Oversee the alignment of systems like ERP, Global Trade Management (GTM), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) with compliance needs.
- Partner with IT to design, test, and deploy trade management software solutions and compliance applications.
- Facilitate ongoing training and management for automated trade compliance processes.
- Analyze trade data to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.
Cross-Functional and Regional Collaboration
- Work closely with Legal, Supply Chain, and Business leadership to create best practices for risk mitigation and compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to regional leaders ensuring trade operations are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Develop high-performing regional teams that uphold accountability and operational excellence.
What We Are Looking For:
- At least 10 years of relevant global trade operations or compliance experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams across various geographies.
- Success in influencing and shaping organizational strategies within complex environments.
- Extensive knowledge of global trade regulations, compliance including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations.
- Experience in managing and optimizing ERP, GTM, and transportation systems for compliance integration.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data to drive performance insights and compliance reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in managing process improvements using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- A balance of compliance knowledge and operational efficiency understanding.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: Required to work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Monday and Friday are work-from-home days.

$143,100.00 - $157,360.50
