Role Overview:

The DEEP & Technology team is looking for a driven Senior Manager to lead and expand our Quality Engineering efforts, particularly within our commerce, data, and advertising sectors. You will play a key role in establishing a comprehensive quality strategy, ensuring top-notch test automation, system reliability, and significant business value. This is an exciting opportunity to drive change and elevate quality across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizational Leadership: Lead and develop multiple quality engineering teams, cultivating an environment of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Vision & Strategy: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for quality engineering aligned with our business goals.
  • Transformative Practices: Promote industry-leading practices and quality metrics throughout our teams.

Technical Leadership:

  • Set a forward-thinking technical direction for test automation architecture, including cloud-native solutions and advanced testing methodologies.
  • Champion the advancement of shared automation frameworks and tools across the organization.
  • Oversee resolution and preventive measures for critical outages to enhance service reliability.

Strategic Execution:

  • Implement the quality engineering strategy across product groups, balancing innovation with operational requirements.
  • Manage hiring and resource allocation to strengthen our quality engineering talent pool.
  • Ensure quality governance compliant across all product lines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Foster strong relationships with senior leaders across engineering, product management, and business operations.
  • Effectively communicate quality risks and long-term strategies to stakeholders, while providing updates on quality metrics.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate test automation early in the development process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in software quality engineering or test automation with 5+ years in a managerial role.
  • Proven success in scaling quality engineering within cloud-native, high-scale environments.
  • Experience advocating for quality at the executive level and influencing business decisions.
  • Deep understanding of modern test automation frameworks and CI/CD practices.
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering principles and agile methodologies.
  • Passion for enhancing product quality.
  • Proficiency in Python or other modern programming languages; experience with ad-tech systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

The hiring range for this position in California is $171,600 - $230,100 per year, and in New York, it is $179,700 - $241,000 per year. Compensation will be based on internal equity and vary by candidate experience and region, along with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
