Our diagnostics division provides crucial testing that contributes to preventing, diagnosing, and treating various health conditions. Abbott’s cutting-edge tests and tools offer timely information for effective health management, with over 10 million tests conducted daily.

THE OPPORTUNITY

In the role of Senior Manager, Strategy and Analytics, you will act as a strategic powerhouse that translates complex information into actionable insights. Collaborate closely with senior leaders in strategy and marketing and various cross-functional teams to drive informed decisions on portfolios, franchises, and commercial strategies through data and insights.

This position is based in Lake Forest, Illinois.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with the Global Strategy, Insights & Analytics lead to shape both long-term and immediate strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate strategic planning by articulating key business challenges and synthesizing market, customer, and competitive insights into strategic decisions.
  • Lead competitive strategy development, including wargaming and strategic discussions with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Oversee market research initiatives, ensuring deliverables are actionable and relevant, transforming vendor outputs into compelling insights and presentations.
  • Perform in-depth analysis selectively for high-priority cases and maintain market forecasting models.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in complex, high-pressure environments, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and nurturing team collaboration.
  • Travel is expected to be around 10%.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Experience in management consulting or corporate roles within relevant sectors such as diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare.
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience or 5-6 years with a master’s degree.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, data analytics, and market research.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Proactive, resilient, and capable of taking initiative in challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing others.
  • Global work experience across diverse cultures and time zones.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300.00 to $258,700.00. The actual pay may vary based on location.
