Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their innovative production facility in **New York City, New York, US**. This role is instrumental in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for analyzing current production methods, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. You will work closely with production teams, R&D, and quality assurance to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, develop process controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, process engineering, and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent problem-solving skills, a data-driven approach, and proficiency with manufacturing technologies and software are essential. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, along with significant experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen). Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with R&D and product design teams on new product introductions, ensuring manufacturability. Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards. Train production personnel on new processes and equipment. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations and report on performance. Manage project timelines and budgets for manufacturing improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process engineering. Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC). Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage cross-functional projects. Experience in the (Specific Manufacturing Sector, e.g., automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals) industry is a plus.
