The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems and processes. Specify, select, and integrate robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and other automation components. Develop and troubleshoot PLC/robot programs and control system logic. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new automated equipment. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into manufacturing workflows. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, and operation manuals. Provide technical support and training for automated systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for automated equipment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on automation. Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA). Strong understanding of control systems, HMI design, and data acquisition. Experience with CAD software and automation simulation tools. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
