Join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Casting Technology, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our investment casting processes. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to tackle challenges, boost productivity, and meet strategic business goals. Your expertise will be crucial in managing supplier relationships, driving technical qualifications, and exploring innovative casting technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical initiatives for investment casting processes, focusing on SX and equiax methods.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify and implement solutions that address root causes of issues.
  • Actively promote best practices and high performance standards within the supply network.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, guiding them on our processes and ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to accurately diagnose root causes and establish sustainable corrective measures.
  • Enhance manufacturability through design optimizations and process improvements.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and solutions effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and approve critical processes ensuring they adhere to established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering to meet performance metrics for new or modified processes.
  • Assist in onboarding new suppliers, overseeing their technical qualification and readiness through comprehensive reviews.
  • Foster strong partnerships with casting supplier teams to enhance technical capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field).
  • At least 5 years of experience in materials engineering, castings, or mechanical engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additive manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with Metal Injection Molding (MIM).
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of sand casting processes.
  • Experience working with titanium materials.
  • Extensive knowledge of investment casting, focusing on yield and cost optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with special processes related to investment casting.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and project management skills.
  • Experience in New Product Introduction processes.
  • Ability to mature technologies and processes effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities; adept at influencing without authority.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, remaining open to feedback.
  • A transparent communication style, providing timely updates and engaging constructively to resolve challenges.
  • Strong sense of accountability, demonstrating ownership and an ability to achieve results aligned with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Work Location and Travel

  • Travel requirement: 30%-50%.
  • Remote eligible in the USA; initial travel to Cincinnati, Ohio expected within the first 6 months for training and onboarding.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range for this role is $116,000 - $155,000, influenced by experience, education, and location. Eligible for performance bonuses.
