Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer at our Clinton Auger Manufacturing Plant is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and effective project management. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production teams to solve complex problems, enhance productivity, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Promote a culture of safety within the plant, conduct safety audits, and collaborate with leadership to enhance safety performance.
This includes selecting appropriate welding techniques, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects, including delegating assignments to maintenance, and operative associates. Oversee the work of contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation of new technologies.
Implement advanced problem-solving techniques to develop permanent solutions to critical issues. Work with associates from Production to conduct root cause analysis, develop countermeasures, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, gauging, controls and mechanical or electrical engineering design principles.
Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
Experience with SAP or other ERP system
Ability to manage projects independently, with available support as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Proficiency in welding techniques, process optimization, and quality control.
Weld Certification (CWI) or willingness to obtain Welding Certification.
Familiarity with the American Petroleum Institute (API) certification program.
