Our client, a world-renowned leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking an accomplished Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Chicago, Illinois . This role is critical for driving operational excellence, optimizing production lines, and implementing innovative manufacturing technologies. You will be responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and designing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities: Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve productivity and quality. Develop and execute process validation protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve process capability. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with design engineers, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless product introduction and scalability. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes. Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians in process improvement initiatives. Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions. Manage projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions. Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through process optimization and waste elimination. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Analyze production data to identify trends and drive data-informed decision-making. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and stakeholders. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in an automotive, aerospace, or high-volume industrial sector. Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, including Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools is a plus. Proven experience in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving. Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory compliance. Ability to analyze technical data and provide actionable insights. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
