Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

A leading innovator in advanced manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team in San Diego, California, US . This role is pivotal in optimizing and scaling production processes to meet the demands of high-volume manufacturing. You will be responsible for analyzing existing manufacturing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing robust solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Key duties include developing and validating new manufacturing processes, designing and specifying production equipment, creating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting production issues. Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC) is essential. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in a complex product environment. Proven experience in process design, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are necessary. Proficiency with CAD software and data analysis tools is expected.
