Our client is a leading manufacturer known for producing high-quality goods through advanced production techniques. We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our operations team. This role is integral to optimizing and innovating our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production lines, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing new technologies and methodologies. This includes developing process documentation, conducting feasibility studies, and managing process improvement projects from conception to completion. Your expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process control will be critical. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and engineering departments to ensure seamless integration and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities: Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for process improvement initiatives. Develop detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Lead and manage process improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to resolve them. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards. Work with equipment suppliers and internal engineering teams on process automation and equipment upgrades. Train production staff on new processes and procedures. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging manufacturing technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus). Strong understanding of production operations, equipment, and control systems. Experience with process simulation and modeling software. Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. Familiarity with CAD software is a plus. This role requires regular on-site presence at our production facilities in Denver, Colorado, US .
