Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer with expertise in automation and robotics to join their state-of-the-art facility in Los Angeles, California, US . This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, product quality, and safety. You will be responsible for evaluating existing production lines, identifying opportunities for automation, and leading projects from concept to successful implementation. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in mechanical or industrial engineering, extensive experience with robotic systems, and a passion for driving innovation in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop automated manufacturing processes and systems, integrating robotics, PLCs, and other automation technologies. Analyze existing production lines to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement through automation. Lead the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of robotic systems, automation equipment, and associated software. Develop and optimize robotic programming and control systems for various manufacturing tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of automated solutions. Create detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, and validation protocols. Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC) measures. Troubleshoot automation and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. Ensure all automated systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for automation initiatives. Stay abreast of emerging technologies in robotics, automation, and manufacturing. Train production and maintenance personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated systems. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a strong focus on automation and robotics. Proven experience with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and their programming. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development. Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators. Experience with CAD software for designing automation layouts and equipment. Knowledge of manufacturing principles (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex automation projects. Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, or consumer electronics is advantageous.
