Job Description

Our client, a leading marketing agency in Boston, Massachusetts, US , is looking for a highly analytical and data-driven Senior Marketing Data Analyst to join their innovative team. This role is crucial for extracting actionable insights from complex marketing data to optimize campaign performance, understand customer behavior, and inform strategic marketing decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in data manipulation and visualization, a deep understanding of marketing principles, and the ability to translate data into clear, concise recommendations for clients and internal teams. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for flexibility while maintaining collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze large datasets from various marketing channels (digital, social, email, programmatic, etc.) to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators.

Develop and maintain marketing dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to track campaign effectiveness and ROI.

Conduct in-depth analysis of customer segmentation, journey mapping, and lifetime value to inform targeting strategies.

Collaborate with marketing teams to define campaign objectives, set benchmarks, and measure success.

Provide strategic recommendations for campaign optimization, budget allocation, and media planning based on data-driven insights.

Perform A/B testing and multivariate testing to evaluate the effectiveness of different marketing creatives, messaging, and channels.

Identify data quality issues and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Stay current with emerging trends in marketing analytics, data science, and relevant technologies.

Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and written reports.

Contribute to the development of advanced analytical models, such as attribution modeling and predictive analytics.

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the team's analytical capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related quantitative field; Master's degree preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, or a related field, with a strong focus on marketing data.

Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Expertise with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of statistical modeling, A/B testing methodologies, and marketing analytics principles.

Experience with statistical programming languages such as R or Python is a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics).

This role is based in our Boston, Massachusetts, US office, offering a hybrid work model that combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.
