Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Innovative Assembly Solutions

About the Role

*

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies to address technical challenges at both sub-assembly and full-system levels.

*

• Create detailed drawings for manufacturing parts, ensuring clarity and precision for production teams.

*

• Translate customer specifications into comprehensive technical requirements through thorough testing and analysis.

*

• Assess potential risks associated with proposed solutions to recommend the most reliable options.

*

• Generate detailed documentation including design reports, test summaries, and related technical files.

*

• Assist in the fabrication process, including welding, machining, and assembly activities, to ensure quality standards are maintained.

*

• Perform structural evaluations on components and assemblies to verify compliance with design criteria.

*

• Select appropriate materials, actuators, fasteners, and other components to fulfill design specifications.

*

• Design hydraulic systems incorporating pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and safety mechanisms.

*

• Apply engineering principles creatively to develop innovative solutions that meet project objectives.

*

• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models to validate design concepts.

*

Qualifications & Experience

*

• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

*

• At least two years of experience in mechanical component design or related roles.

*

• Proficiency with CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks, for detailed modeling and drafting.

*

• Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication, weldments, truss structures, and machine parts.

*

• Knowledge of design for manufacturability, assembly, and ingress protection standards.

*

• Experience with motion control systems and kinematic analysis.

*

• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) under static loading conditions.

*

• Additional expertise in hydraulics, mobile systems, or vehicle-mounted equipment is advantageous.
