Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in HVAC building design. Working closely with clients, the team focuses on building solutions for hospitals, medical clinics, outpatient centers, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities. THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION (4 days in-office) and located in NYC office.

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air-conditioning, building automation, and controls.
• Perform system design calculations, load calculations, and some energy modeling.
• Select equipment for use in building systems.
• Incorporate sustainable design methods.
• Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems.
• Specification preparation.
• Coordinate work with other engineers of other disciplines and architects.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients.
• Manage projects, work areas, and monitor quality of work.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years or more of professional experience in designing HVAC systems.
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in commercial/institutional/hospital projects.
• Professional experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
• EIT/PE license desired.
• Strong fundamental understanding of NYC and national building codes.
• Knowledge of the design and construction guidelines for Healthcare facilities.
• PREVIOUS HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
• Solid analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to multi-task with multiple projects. Excellent communication skills.

Education:

BS in Mechanical Engineering.
