Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC design at Henderson Engineers, you'll play a crucial role across our diverse sectors including Venue, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Business. Collaborate with our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions, to create exceptional client experiences in high-growth markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior designers and engineers, ensuring their growth and success.
- Oversee the design of advanced building systems by preparing design documents and conducting engineering calculations.
- Lead projects from concept through to completion, employing innovative engineering solutions to complex challenges.
- Ensure adherence to project scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements, while reinforcing design and engineering standards.
- Engage in the development of tools, resources, and company practices to improve operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Senior Level:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge in engineering design and industry standards relevant to a wide array of projects.
- Working knowledge of contracts, construction processes, and methods.
- Proficient in Bluebeam Revu, CAD (AutoCAD, Revit), and HVAC design software (IESVE, Trane Trace).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license, FE exam completion, and/or LEED/WELL accreditation.
