Position Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC design, you will play a pivotal role in our projects. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation while working on high-impact projects for leading names in various sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers, ensuring their professional growth.
- Take accountability for the success of your team, leading project design efforts from concept to completion.
- Design advanced building systems, prepare design documents, and perform engineering calculations while collaborating with various disciplines.
- Develop solutions to complex engineering challenges through hands-on involvement or in an advisory capacity.
- Ensure that all production meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and best practices for the engineering team.
- Uphold and reinforce design and engineering standards across the organization.
- Lead quality assurance processes for projects under your supervision, including final reviews.
Qualifications:
Senior Level
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 15 years of applicable experience, or equivalent experience without a degree. A Professional Engineering (PE) license may substitute one year of required experience.
- Expert knowledge of engineering design and the A&E industry, including relevant codes and standards.
- Familiarity with contract and construction processes and methods is essential.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), HVAC design software, and Bluebeam Revu.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Completion of FE exam, LEED, and/or WELL accreditation.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design processes and industry standards applicable to various projects.
