Join WSP as a Senior Technical Project Manager (Mechanical) and play a key role in delivering technically complex mechanical systems that shape the built environment. In this role, you will take ownership of the mechanical scope and technical delivery of projects—providing leadership through expertise rather than direct people management—while ensuring designs are efficient, compliant, and aligned with client and project objectives.

Your Impact

  • Lead the technical delivery of complex mechanical building systems designs from concept through construction.
  • Act as the primary mechanical technical authority on assigned projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Deliver HVAC, central plant, and district energy solutions that support sustainability and decarbonization goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop fully integrated design solutions.
  • Translate client needs into clear, coordinated, and constructible mechanical designs.
  • Support project success through proactive risk identification, issue resolution, and technical decision‑making.
  • Contribute to proposal development and project pursuits with your mechanical expertise.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario (PEO).
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience in design of buildings mechanical systems.
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, central heating and cooling plants, and district energy systems.
  • Demonstrated experience performing and reviewing load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, CSA standards, and ASHRAE standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and technical deliverables concurrently.
  • Experience with district energy, central plant, decarbonization, or energy transition projects is considered an asset.
