Responsibilities
Junior:
What you'll do:
•Advising on Murex best practices in the P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting and financial reporting.
•Contributing to client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements and performing quality assurance tests.
•Providing client support including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities.
•Communicating development needs to the Murex product development team
•Providing internal and external training.
Who you are:
•Ideal candidate is someone with 2-3 years' experience in capital markets technology.
•The candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles under IFRS or US GAAP. Knowledge of hedge accounting is a plus.
•Preferable experience includes supporting either trading, treasury or accounting at banks or other financial institutions or has experience with other fintech vendors.
•Strong academic background in accounting, engineering or a math-based discipline (math, operations research, statistics etc.)
•Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, and basic programming is a plus.
Senior:
What you'll do:
•Advising on Best Practices: Provide guidance on Murex best practices in P&L processes, accounting, hedge accounting, position management, and financial reporting.
Client-Site Implementations: Lead all trading designers during an implementation or upgrade; gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements, and performing quality assurance tests.
•Client Support: Manage open issues and support upgrade activities.
•Communication: Handle the relationship with the product team in one area of expertise and assist in building the product roadmap for the region.
•Documentation and Training: Provide internal and external documentation and training
Who you are:
•Experience: The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of experience in capital markets technology. Proven client-facing experience in a support or project implementation role, preferably in trading or risk management solutions in financial institutions.
•Academic Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a master's in financial engineering, Applied Finance/Statistics/Mathematics, or Computational Finance.
•Problem-Solving: Systematic problem solver with critical thinking abilities.
•Communication: Strong presenter and effective communicator.
•Technical Skills: Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, SQL, and basic programming.
