Our client is a leading pharmaceutical organization committed to advancing innovative therapies and improving patient health. They are expanding their Hong Kong R&D team and seeking a (Senior) Pharmaceutical R&D Scientist to support formulation and process development for new products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing pharmaceutical formulations and processes, conducting experiments, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to regulatory documentation for product registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and provide clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Develop formulations and manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, including planning and scheduling development activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product and process-related issues.
- Prepare and review regulatory submission documents (e.g., CTD, NMPA, etc.).
- Support sourcing of new APIs and excipients.
- Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and general laboratory operations.
- Manage multiple projects effectively to meet timelines.
Qualifications
- Master’s, MPhil, or PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Industrial Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in formulation and process development; experience with regulatory submissions preferred. (Candidates with less experience may be considered for Pharmaceutical R&D Scientist.)
- Expertise in oral solid dosage forms; experience with other dosage forms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to develop research plans and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Proficient in technical writing and presentation in English and Mandarin.
