Position: Senior PLC Programmer (Mitsubishi Focus)
Project XIII Staffing is partnering with a well-established organization in the industrial automation space to hire a Senior Mitsubishi PLC Programmer based in the Greater Toronto Area. This role will support the delivery of complex automation solutions across a variety of industrial environments.
The Opportunity
The Senior Mitsubishi PLC Programmer will be responsible for programming, testing, and supporting PLC-based automation systems within a project-driven environment. This is an on-site role working closely with internal engineering teams and clients to deliver reliable, high-performance automation solutions.
This position offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects while contributing to continuous system improvement, troubleshooting, and long-term support initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, test, and troubleshoot Mitsubishi PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and motion control applications
- Develop and debug automation code to support system functionality and performance
- Configure and support industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CC-Link)
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver automation solutions
- Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and system optimization
- Identify and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Support commissioning, system integration, and ongoing maintenance activities

Candidate Profile
- Strong experience programming and troubleshooting Mitsubishi PLC systems
- Hands-on experience within industrial automation, controls, or system integration environments
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols and control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Experience supporting or delivering automation projects in industrial settings
- Exposure to client-facing environments or technical support is considered an asset
Education & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required
- Authorized to work in Canada
