Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Portfolio Manager to join the Global Fixed Income Solutions team in Boston.This role is responsible for the management and trading of cash and liquidity strategies, including traditional cash, securities-lending cash collateral reinvestment, enhanced cash and ultra-short, fixed income portfolios. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a core business within a fast‑paced, collaborative investment environment.We are looking for candidates with an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in business, economics, or finance (CFA designation a plus) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in short‑term fixed income portfolio management. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical capabilities; communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing; enjoys working in a team environment, performs well under tight deadlines; and collaborates effectively across teams.The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity and sound judgment, bringing deep expertise in short‑term fixed income markets, disciplined risk management, and strong client‑facing communication skills. The role requires the ability to interpret market developments, drive portfolio performance, translate investment decisions into clear and consistent narratives, and articulate portfolio positioning and outlooks to clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Manage USD taxable short-term fixed income strategies, including commingled prime portfolios and institutional separately managed accounts. Trade short‑term taxable fixed income securities, including commercial paper, certificates of deposit, government securities, repurchase agreements, asset-backed securities, and high‑quality corporate and bank obligations, in line with portfolio objectives and risk guidelines. Ensure portfolios are managed in line with stated investment objectives, guidelines, client‑specific constraints, and applicable internal policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain adherence to internal risk frameworks, compliance standards, and external regulatory requirements. Partner with risk, compliance, and legal teams to support governance, documentation, and continuous enhancement of investment processes and controls. Monitor macroeconomic conditions, market liquidity, supply and demand dynamics, and relative‑value opportunities across short‑duration markets. Collaborate closely with credit analysts and securities‑lending teams to evaluate investment opportunities and position portfolios appropriately. Drive strategy development and market opportunity assessment. Provide timely, differentiated commentary on market events, macro developments, and their implications for portfolio decisions. Communicate investment philosophy, process, and performance clearly and consistently to internal and external stakeholders. Serve as a subject‑matter expert in short‑term fixed income markets. Support relationship management, consultant engagement, sales initiatives, and new business opportunities. Demonstrate leadership behaviors that promote integrity, accountability, collaboration, and effective partnership across investment, client, and support teams. Salary Range: $120,000 – $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
