SENIOR PORTFOLIO MANAGER - RENEWABLE ENERGY

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Join our esteemed credit management team as a Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing the risk-adjusted returns within the dynamic renewable energy segment. You will manage a select group of existing credits while playing a pivotal role in the creation of new credit opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering comprehensive credit evaluations and recommendations to key stakeholders regarding prospects and current clients, encompassing complex credit structures, modifications, and renewals, by thoroughly analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections.
  • Presenting credit recommendations aligned with the bank's risk appetite and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrating exceptional responsiveness to clients' credit needs, providing superior service and financial acumen to meet their requirements promptly.
  • Overseeing the management of your portfolio, including risk assessments, covenant tracking, and the preparation of detailed reports on a quarterly and annual basis.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Team Mentorship: Guide and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Portfolio Ownership: Manage your credit portfolio to align with organizational objectives and risk management practices, underwrite various credit exposures, and handle prospective client inquiries effectively.
  • Credit Analysis: Thoroughly analyze credit data to evaluate creditworthiness and make informed structuring recommendations to the Sales team and clients, preparing necessary memoranda and approval documents for the Credit Risk team.
  • Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular reviews and monitor portfolio performance, ensuring adherence to covenants and risk guidelines.
  • Data Evaluation: Utilize credit data to support comprehensive underwriting and assessments of creditworthiness, presenting clear recommendations.
  • Effective Risk Management: Uphold high-standard credit quality and compliance aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside Relationship Managers and cross-functional teams to optimize credit operations and achieve strategic objectives. Engage in special projects that support organizational priorities.
  • Client Engagement: Offer outstanding client service by maintaining professionalism and tailoring credit solutions to meet clients' unique needs. Collaborate in joint sales efforts with Relationship Managers.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management in relevant industries.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Compensation Starting base salary: $127,626 - $237,014 per year. Exact compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, and location. This role is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
