This role is critical for driving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness through the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities:
Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement, automation, and cost reduction. Design and develop new manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment specifications. Lead the implementation of automation solutions, including robotics, PLC controls, and SCADA systems. Develop and execute process validation protocols and qualify new equipment and systems. Optimize production parameters to enhance yield, throughput, and product quality. Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, quality assurance, and maintenance, in a virtual environment. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide technical training to operations personnel. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques to monitor and improve process performance. Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing and automation. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for process improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on automation and optimization. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems. Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), SCADA systems, and robotic controls. Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques. Expertise in process simulation and modeling software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work successfully in a remote team setting. Experience with data analysis tools and statistical software. Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive significant process improvements. Must be legally authorized to work in the US and have a dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet.
