Our client, a leading force in the Manufacturing & Production sector, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer for their advanced facility located in **Boston, Massachusetts, US**. This is a critical role focused on optimizing and innovating manufacturing processes within the automotive industry. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC). You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, improving product quality, and reducing operational costs through meticulous analysis and implementation of process improvements.
Responsibilities: Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies to enhance productivity and quality. Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes. Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Utilize statistical tools and software to monitor process performance and identify trends. Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Provide technical expertise and training to production staff on new processes and equipment. Manage pilot production runs and scale-up processes effectively. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards. Prepare detailed reports on process performance, project status, and cost-saving initiatives. Stay updated on the latest advancements in manufacturing technology and automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification is a plus), and SPC. Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach. Experience with CAD software and understanding of manufacturing equipment is advantageous. Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities. Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive change. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
