Job Description

Our client, a leading innovator in the semiconductor industry, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas . This role is critical to optimizing and advancing our cutting-edge manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex fabrication processes, focusing on yield enhancement, defect reduction, and cycle time optimization. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth process analysis using statistical methods (SPC, DOE), troubleshooting manufacturing issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Yield, Equipment Engineering) to resolve technical challenges, and developing robust process control strategies. You will also play a crucial role in transferring new process technologies from R&D to production, ensuring successful ramp-up and sustained performance. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication processes (e.g., lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, metrology). A strong understanding of process physics, chemistry, and materials science is essential. Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies is required. Experience with process modeling and simulation tools is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment are crucial. You must possess strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse engineering and operational teams. This is an on-site position located in our state-of-the-art facility in Austin, Texas .

Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and control semiconductor manufacturing processes to improve yield and performance. Analyze process data using statistical tools to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement. Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related problems in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate with R&D, equipment engineers, and technicians to implement process improvements and new technologies. Document process procedures, control plans, and characterization results. Participate in new product introduction and technology transfer activities. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
