Our client, a highly reputable and innovative industrial firm located in the heart of New York City, New York, US , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Improvement Engineer. This role is instrumental in driving operational excellence and efficiency across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, and a proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements. You will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, optimizing workflows, and implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall quality. This position requires strong collaboration skills, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and improve business processes. Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen) to drive process optimization and cost reduction initiatives. Develop process maps, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Design and implement new processes or modify existing ones to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. Collect and analyze data to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against established goals. Train and mentor employees on process improvement tools and techniques. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process improvement findings and recommendations. Ensure that all implemented processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Champion a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in process engineering.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or industrial engineering. Proven experience applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in process mapping software (e.g., Visio) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab). Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to drive change and achieve measurable results. Experience in a manufacturing or complex operational environment is essential.
