Job Description

Our client, a leading innovator in manufacturing, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Industrial Engineer to join their operations team in Seattle, Washington, US . This pivotal role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall productivity within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You will be instrumental in analyzing existing workflows, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and leveraging data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement. This position requires a strong presence on the production floor to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement changes directly.

Responsibilities: Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Design, develop, and implement new production processes and systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. Apply lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to streamline operations and reduce waste. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Utilize statistical analysis and data visualization tools to monitor process performance and identify trends. Collaborate with R&D, production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process integration and problem-solving. Lead cross-functional project teams focused on process improvement initiatives. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness. Train production staff on new processes and best practices. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in industrial engineering and manufacturing. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards within the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing operations. Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving significant cost savings or efficiency gains. In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a strong plus). Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), and CAD software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong project management and leadership abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Experience working directly on a manufacturing floor and interacting with operational staff. Knowledge of manufacturing automation and control systems is beneficial.
