About the role

Original posting from Kodiak via Greenhouse

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. was founded in 2018 and has become a leader in autonomous ground transportation committed to a safer and more efficient future for all. The company has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology stack purpose-built for commercial trucking and the public sector. The company delivers freight daily for its customers across the southern United States using its autonomous technology. In 2024, Kodiak became the first known company to publicly announce delivering a driverless semi-truck to a customer. Kodiak is also leveraging its commercial self-driving software to develop, test and deploy autonomous capabilities for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Kodiak is seeking an experienced Senior Product Analyst to provide actionable insights that directly shape product development and customer-facing outcomes for commercially-deployed driverless trucks. As a member of the Data team in the Product organization, you will partner with Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations to define success metrics, analyze system and product performance, interpret underlying drivers and root causes, and work across teams to translate findings into actions that accelerate product improvement and reliability.

In this role, you will:

Work with Product Management to define and track KPIs related to autonomy and operational performance, productivity, reliability, and safety.

Work with cross-functional partners to understand root causes, derive insights and actionable recommendations, and define next steps.

Partner with Product Management and Engineering to design and evaluate experiments (e.g., feature rollouts, A/B tests).

Conduct deep-dive analyses on commercial deployments and customer usage to identify feature gaps and prioritize improvements.

Collaborate with other members of the Data team to improve tracking, instrumentation, and data pipelines.

Build dashboards and reports to give Product and Engineering teams visibility into performance trends.

Support executive and board-level discussions with product insights and customer impact metrics.

Travel occasionally to visit Kodiak’s commercial deployment and operations locations.

What you’ll bring:

Analytical rigor: 5+ years of experience in product analytics in high-growth tech environments

Leadership: Experience leading Product Analytics teams and mentoring junior analysts

Technical fluency: Skilled in querying large datasets efficiently with python and in Kibana.  Experience creating dashboards and automating reporting

Cross-functional collaboration: Track record of partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations to align data insights with customer and product priorities

Business acumen: Experience connecting the dots between technical metrics and real-world business outcomes (e.g., fleet utilization, cost per mile, customer adoption)

Problem-solving: Experience structuring highly ambiguous and complex problems into clear, data-driven insights.

Storytelling skills: Skilled at translating complex data into narratives that influence product direction and decision-making

Domain curiosity: Interest in autonomous systems, logistics, or mobility technology — eager to learn the nuances of safety, reliability, and scaling operations in autonomy.

Degree in data analytics or data science, or equivalent work experience
