Compensation Overview

This position offers a competitive annual base salary range reflective of the nationwide market, detailed as $81,500.00 - $134,500.00. Factors such as role complexity, location, candidate qualifications, and other employment conditions will determine the final salary. Additionally, our benefits program includes eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is Your Opportunity?

As a Senior Product Management Analyst within Travelers' Product team, you'll tackle intriguing and complex business challenges. In this role, you will oversee the growth and profitability of specified states, products, or lines of business. Your expertise in analyzing intricate business issues will lead to well-founded solutions that consider both internal dynamics and market trends to meet our strategic goals. Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of our strategic initiatives.

What Will You Do?

  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis on business performance, focusing on product enhancements, performance benchmarks, and root cause identification.
  • Develop strategic recommendations aimed at driving growth and enhancing profitability, factoring in local regulations and market conditions.
  • Effectively communicate and persuade business partners regarding suggested product or pricing modifications or the launch of new products.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in key projects to support broader organizational objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on specific initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related analytical discipline.
  • At least three years in a data analytics or similar analytical role, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Familiarity with competitive analysis tools.
  • A strategic mindset paired with good judgment for resolution of emerging issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively consult and present information.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data trends and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • An understanding of pricing and actuarial techniques, along with key concepts such as loss development and trending.
  • Knowledge of ratemaking processes, encompassing profitability and associated risk factors.
  • An understanding of the insurance industry workflows and terminologies, alongside their impact on profitability.

What is Essential?

  • A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
