ABOUT THE TEAM
The Financial Data team builds and operates the platform that powers client balances, statements, activity feeds, and core financial metrics across Wealthsimple. We focus on delivering a reliable, real-time, and extensible foundation that other product teams can safely build on top of. The Activities domain sits at the heart of this platform, transforming raw events into clear, auditable timelines of what’s happened in a client’s account. You’ll join a high-impact, highly technical team that partners closely with engineering, data, operations, and other product teams to ship infrastructure that quietly does the right thing at scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Senior Product Manager for Activities & Balances, you’ll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the platform that transforms raw financial events into clear client activities and accurate balances across Wealthsimple. Reporting to the Lead PM, Financial Data, you’ll ensure we have a strong technical foundation — data models, pipelines, APIs, and tooling — that makes it easy for teams across Wealthsimple to build consistent, trustworthy client experiences on top of Activities and Balances. You’ll work closely with the Core Balances and Financial Accounting & Metrics (FAM) engineering teams to design how activities flow through our systems, how they materialize into balances, and how they support mission-critical use cases like statements, tax, and financial metrics. This is a client centric platform-style role that will require migration and legacy tech deprecation management, where you’ll lead the transition to our next-generation Financial Data stack while minimizing client and operational risk.
