About the role

BUILD A SAFER WORLD.

TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure.

TRM Labs is building the global standard for investigations.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who understands that this role is not coordination. It's ownership. Your job is to enable, capture, and expand ARR. You do that by moving through four stages: Pathfinding, Shaping, Building, and Closing. Each stage has different owners and partners who optimize for their local maximum. You are the thread across all of them, thinking and acting like a general manager: relentlessly pursuing the outcome, activating others or doing it yourself.

PMs at TRM hold a lever no one else does — the ability to change what the product does. Sales can sell what exists. CS can support what was built. Marketing can amplify what's launched. Only you can build the thing that makes the deal closeable, the trial stick, or the expansion obvious.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You'll own the product roadmap for TRM's compliance and AML suite, serving banks and financial services firms as the financial system migrates onto blockchain rails. Your customers are compliance teams, AML analysts, and risk officers who need to screen transactions, monitor wallets, track entities, and meet regulatory requirements at scale. As crypto becomes core infrastructure for global finance, TRM becomes indispensable not just to compliance workflows, but to the financial system itself. You'll build the features that cement that position and drive the expansion that follows.

HOW YOU’LL WORK

Pathfinding: Get in front of customers before there's anything to show them. Surface the problems they can't fully articulate, in domains where the stakes are real: financial crime, intelligence, national security. Turn a morning conversation into a same-day spec.

Shaping: Translate customer insight into a solution with your hands on it. You're prototyping, iterating with designers, and actively driving what the product becomes — not handing off a problem statement and waiting. It's an iterative process, and customers are in the loop throughout.

Building: Ship in hours and days, not weeks or months. Build AI agents into the product and into your own workflow as a matter of course, not as an experiment. You write and ship code alongside engineers and the Product Cortex.

Closing: Be present in the deal. Lead demos, run scoping calls, surface product feedback from the field, and translate it into roadmap unlocks that make each deal closeable. Your seat at the table in a sales cycle isn't optional. It's where you learn what to build next.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Curiosity: You go deeper than the feature request. You run discovery to find the problem the customer didn't name, in a domain where context is everything and surface-level listening fails.

Bias for action: You ship a working V1 and iterate. You don't wait for perfect information. You can walk us through a real example where you moved faster than the org expected and it paid off.

AI systems dialed in: You already build agents and live in an AI-native workflow. You can demo it. You're not planning to start — you started. At TRM, this is table stakes, not a differentiator.

Product taste: You know what good looks like and you can define it precisely enough that others can execute it. Your instinct for what's worth building, and what isn't, is something you've earned, not assumed.

HARD REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of PM experience at a B2B SaaS company
  • Has led at least two complete product cycles from spec to launch in complex enterprise domains: security, fintech, intelligence, defense, or equivalent — owning the outcome end-to-end
  • Experience building or shipping AI-powered products or workflows; already living in an AI-native workflow, not planning to start
  • Demonstrated ability to ship in days; can walk through a real example

DEAL BREAKERS

  • Process PMs who manage the work rather than own the outcome
  • Candidates who treat AI as something to "explore" — must already build agents as part of their job
  • PMs who have never owned direct customer relationships or who rely on an analyst layer to do discovery

ABOUT THE TEAM

TRM's Product team operates as builders, not coordinators. Every PM owns outcomes end-to-end from the first customer conversation through post-launch adoption. We move fast: features are measured in days and weeks, not sprints and roadmap cycles. AI is how we work, not just what we build. Every PM uses agents, builds workflows, and contributes reusable tools to the team's shared plugin library. Small team, high bar, visible impact. Your work shows up directly in company ARR and in how investigators and analysts operate in the field.

WHAT TRM SPEED LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

  • Interview a customer in the morning. Build a prototype using MagicPatterns and AI tooling by 3pm. Share it with the customer for feedback by EOD.
  • Identify a high-priority signal on Monday. Spec finalized Tuesday. Engineering aligned Wednesday. Launched Friday.
  • Publish a plugin or skill to the TRM marketplace as a byproduct of your daily work, something you built to do your own job better, so the full team can leverage it within the same sprint.

LIFE AT TRM

We are building a safer world. That promise shows up in how we work every day.

TRM moves quickly. We are a high velocity, high ownership team that expects clarity, follow-through, and impact. People who thrive here are energized by hard problems, experimentation, and continuous feedback. If something takes months elsewhere, it will ship here in days.

Our work sits at the intersection of AI, national security, and fighting crime. The problems are complex, the stakes are real, and the environment evolves quickly. The pace and intensity of the work reflect the importance of the mission. As a result, the way we operate requires a high level of ownership, adaptability, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

At TRM, you should expect:

  • Priorities and targets to change quickly as we experiment and iterate
  • Work that often requires operating with a high degree of ambiguity
  • A high level of personal ownership and accountability
  • Close collaboration across teams and functions
  • Frequent, high-touch communication
  • Creative problem solving and out-of-the-box thinking
  • A pace that rewards urgency, adaptability, and outcomes

This environment is energizing for people who enjoy building, solving hard problems, and making progress in situations that are not always fully defined. It also requires comfort navigating ambiguity, adjusting course as new information emerges, and maintaining focus and positivity in a fast-moving and intense environment.

We also recognize that this style of operating is not for everyone. If you are primarily optimizing for predictability or a consistently balanced workload, we encourage you to use the interview process to pressure test whether this environment is truly the right fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here.

At the same time, many people find this work deeply rewarding. If you are excited by meaningful problems, motivated by ambitious goals, and energized by working alongside mission-driven colleagues, there is a good chance you will find TRM to be an exceptional place to grow and contribute.
