Job Description:

As a Senior Product Owner, you will leverage over 5 years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst or Scrum team member to drive product development. You are highly knowledgeable about the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and skilled at translating business needs into clear technical specifications for development teams (including User Stories, Features, Acceptance Criteria, etc.). Your strengths in communication and collaboration will enable you to manage teams and stakeholders effectively. Ideally, you are working towards or already hold a Product Owner certification within your first year of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify valuable features and enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring relevance, prioritization, and organization.
  • Ensure the team's backlog health aligns with established standards.
  • Collaborate with the development team to articulate business wants and needs into actionable backlog items.
  • Proactively communicate updates, changes, and trade-offs regarding the roadmap to stakeholders.
  • Conduct yourself professionally and advocate for your development team, safeguarding their time and focus.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment, encouraging all team members to contribute to solutions and collaborate effectively.
  • Gather feedback on completed work and utilize it to maintain and update the product backlog, negotiating readiness for releases.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Information Systems, engineering fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst, Scrum Team Member, or IT role.
  • Strong understanding of Product Development and Software Development Life Cycles.
  • Expertise in translating business needs into technical specifications (User Stories, Features, Acceptance Criteria, etc.).
  • Competence in backlog management and visualization tools.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-starter mentality, and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Willingness to pursue a Product Owner certification within the first year (CSPO, PSPO).

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Product Owner certification or commitment to obtain it within the first year (CSPO, PSPO).
  • Familiarity with UX/UI best practices and experience incorporating user experience considerations into product backlog items.
  • Consideration for candidates across the United States, even if not near a Crowe office location.

The compensation range for this role reflects various factors including skills, experience, and organizational needs, typically falling between $65,800.00 and $135,400.00 per year.
