Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Quality Engineer to join their team in Denver, Colorado, US . This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes and final products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality management systems, statistical process control, and root cause analysis methodologies. You will work closely with production teams to identify, prevent, and resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001). Oversee and participate in the design and implementation of quality control processes on the production floor. Lead root cause analysis investigations for production quality issues, identifying systemic problems and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs). Utilize statistical methods and tools (e.g., SPC, DOE) to monitor and improve process capability and product consistency. Conduct regular quality audits of production processes and systems to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality-related challenges. Develop and deliver quality training programs for production staff. Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction. Manage the supplier quality program, including supplier audits and performance monitoring. Ensure that products meet all specified requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory standards. Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization. Prepare and present quality performance reports to management. Support new product introduction (NPI) processes from a quality perspective. Stay current with evolving quality standards and best practices in manufacturing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing), or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, and relevant industry standards. Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone). Experience with quality control tools and methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in auditing processes and systems. Proficiency in relevant software, including Minitab or similar statistical packages, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating effective collaboration both on-site and remotely.
