Senior Quality Control Engineer

Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for upholding and enhancing the stringent quality standards of our products and processes. You will leverage your expertise to develop, implement, and manage quality control systems that ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.

In this remote-first position, you will be instrumental in designing and executing quality assurance strategies, conducting rigorous inspections and testing, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. Your responsibilities will span from raw material assessment to finished product evaluation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, R&D, and supplier teams to proactively address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing comprehensive quality control plans and procedures. Establishing and monitoring key quality metrics and performance indicators (KPIs). Conducting inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products. Analyzing quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for process improvement. Implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related problems. Managing calibration programs for quality control equipment. Training and mentoring junior quality personnel. Preparing detailed quality reports for management review.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills are required. Proficiency with quality control tools, methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing), and software is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are paramount for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners.
