Job Description

  • Enterprise Quality Strategy: Lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen manufacturing quality systems, driving measurable improvements in core operational KPIs.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Tackle complex quality challenges by determining root causes and deploying long-term corrective solutions.
  • Customer Issue Containment: Oversee containment and resolution of customer escapes through effective corrective actions, partnering with production, engineering, and supply chain to prevent recurrence and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • COPQ Optimization: Drive reduction of Cost of Poor Quality by leading stop-ship/stop-production actions, conducting root cause investigations, and implementing process improvements.
  • Specification & Documentation Oversight: Review technical drawings and acceptance criteria for accuracy, managing nonconformances, deviations, and dispositions to maintain quality standards.
  • Quality Methodologies Deployment: Implement advanced quality tools and methodologies, enabling operations teams to adopt and sustain improved practices.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: Lead large-scale quality initiatives across multiple departments, ensuring alignment, execution, and successful outcomes.
  • Operational Quality Partnership: Deliver expert quality support to manufacturing teams, resolving critical issues and driving continuous improvement through structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Leverage quality metrics and feedback to uncover opportunities for product and process enhancements, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Team Development & Leadership: Mentor and guide quality engineers, promoting skill development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Innovation & Trend Integration: Stay current with industry advancements and integrate relevant technologies and best practices into quality processes.
  • Policy & Compliance Adherence: Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering focusing on manufacturing quality within the electrical industry or a related industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field required
  • Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Experience in production assembly from a quality/operational perspective
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and successfully completing large-scale quality improvement projects. Proven ability to solve complex quality problems and implement effective process improvements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001.
  • Demonstrated experience in process analytics with a broad knowledge of quality tools and industry metrics. Six sigma experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting RMA/Non-conforming material/Rejects (NMR) activities with interdepartmental coordination.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality function.
  • Great project management skills, able to successfully lead project teams through ambiguity and constantly changing business needs.
  • Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
