What is the opportunity?
Responsible for performing activities related to quality engineering automation with the adoption of shift left strategy, automation, artificial intelligence, performance testing of project delivery and operational excellence through quality improvements. We are seeking a forward-thinker with a passion for driving change and extensive hands-on experience with DevOps pipeline, test and automation.
What will you do?
- Lead, design and manage the and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies aligned with SDLC and RBC Quality Engineering practices
- Architect and optimize test automation frameworks across multiple environments (cloud, distributed systems, APIs)
- Develop and execute automation test plans, maximizing coverage across functional and non-functional testing
- Oversee defect management, root cause analysis, and quality metrics reporting
- Drive CI/CD integration and automation pipeline optimization
- Mentor junior QE engineers and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Partner across IT and business lines to define quality standards and communicate test status updates
- Build robust automation regression and sanity test suites for DevOps pipelines
- Evaluate and implement emerging testing technologies, including AI-driven testing solutions
- Translate technical concepts to stakeholders and influence strategic quality decisions
- Support cross-functional teams in complex, regulated environments with excellent communication and strong problem-solving capabilities
- Work in close partnership with the development team to drive shift-left testing
- Apply strategic thinking with focus on quality improvements and process optimization
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Have:
- 5+ years in focused on test automation at large scale
- Strong knowledge of shift left testing and SDLC, and passionately embraces and leveraged AI technologies
- Expertise across multiple test automation frameworks:
- UI/Web: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI, ReadyAPI
- Other: TestNG, Java, JavaScript, K6
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Database expertise: Microsoft SQL DB, MongoDB with advanced SQL proficiency
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, UCD, Helios) and build tools (Gradle, Maven)
- Experience working on Agile or Iterative Waterfall projects
Nice-to-Have:
- Non-functional testing tools (LoadRunner, LoadUI, JMeter)
- Application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics)
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, QTEST, HP ALM, and source configuration tools (GIT, SVN, MKS)
- IBM MQ and asynchronous messaging patterns
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
