Our client, a prominent financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their elite algorithmic trading team. Responsibilities:
Research, design, and implement sophisticated quantitative trading strategies using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques. Develop and maintain high-frequency trading algorithms, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Analyze large datasets of historical and real-time market data to identify trading opportunities and patterns. Conduct rigorous backtesting and simulation of trading strategies to evaluate performance and risk. Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and software engineers to integrate and deploy trading algorithms into live trading systems. Monitor the performance of live trading strategies, identifying and resolving issues promptly. Develop and implement risk management models and frameworks for algorithmic trading activities. Stay current with the latest advancements in quantitative finance, machine learning, and financial market microstructure. Optimize trading infrastructure and code for maximum speed and efficiency. Contribute to the firm's quantitative research initiatives and thought leadership. Communicate complex findings and strategies clearly to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, algorithmic trading, or a related role within the financial industry. Proven track record of developing and successfully implementing profitable trading strategies. Strong expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, and optimization techniques. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java. Experience with financial data analysis tools and platforms. Deep understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and market microstructure. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) systems and infrastructure is highly desirable.
