Our client, a prestigious global investment bank, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their dynamic team in **Denver, Colorado, US**. This role is critical for developing and implementing sophisticated mathematical models and analytical tools to support trading strategies, risk management, and product development within the capital markets division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in a quantitative discipline, coupled with extensive practical experience in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and programming. You will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying complex quantitative models, performing rigorous backtesting and validation, and providing data-driven insights to trading desks and senior management. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into practical financial applications. Key responsibilities include researching and developing new pricing models for derivatives, creating risk management frameworks, optimizing trading algorithms, and contributing to the development of new financial products. You will work with large datasets, employing advanced statistical techniques and programming languages such as Python, C++, and R. We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual who can contribute significantly to the firm's analytical capabilities and strategic decision-making in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain complex quantitative models for pricing, hedging, and risk management of financial instruments. Conduct statistical analysis and data mining on large financial datasets. Perform rigorous backtesting and validation of models to ensure accuracy and robustness. Design and optimize trading algorithms and strategies. Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers to understand their analytical needs. Contribute to the development of new financial products and solutions. Research and apply cutting-edge quantitative techniques and methodologies. Programmatically implement models and analyses using languages such as Python, C++, and R. Prepare detailed documentation and presentations of research findings and model methodologies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Mentor junior quantitative analysts and contribute to team knowledge development. Stay abreast of market developments and evolving quantitative finance practices. Required Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis within the financial services industry. Strong expertise in financial modeling, derivative pricing, and risk management. Proficiency in programming languages like Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas), C++, and R. Deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning, and econometrics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Experience working with large financial datasets and databases. Knowledge of various asset classes and financial markets. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
