Our client is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their thriving remote team within the Banking & Finance sector. This role is integral to developing and implementing sophisticated financial models, performing complex data analysis, and providing strategic insights to support investment decisions and risk management. As a remote-first employee, you will collaborate extensively with traders, portfolio managers, and other quantitative professionals across different time zones, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Your responsibilities will include designing, testing, and deploying quantitative trading strategies, performing rigorous backtesting and statistical analysis, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our algorithmic trading infrastructure. You will also be involved in identifying new data sources, developing predictive models, and communicating complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial markets, strong programming skills in languages like Python or R, and extensive experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and backtest quantitative trading strategies across various asset classes. Design and build statistical and machine learning models for pricing, risk management, and prediction. Conduct in-depth data analysis using large datasets from financial markets. Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to translate business needs into quantitative solutions. Research and integrate new data sources and analytical techniques. Optimize existing models and algorithms for performance and scalability. Communicate complex analytical results and model methodologies clearly to diverse audiences. Maintain and enhance the firm's quantitative infrastructure and tools. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all quantitative analysis and model outputs. Contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and remote-first team culture.

Required Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics. 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis within the banking or finance industry. Proven expertise in statistical modeling, time series analysis, and machine learning. Strong programming skills in Python, R, C++, or similar languages. Experience with financial data APIs and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv). Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and trading strategies. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a rigorous analytical mindset. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote setting. Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
