Our client, a prestigious financial institution with a significant presence in Phoenix, Arizona, US , is seeking a highly analytical and mathematically skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their sophisticated trading strategies division. This role is instrumental in developing, implementing, and validating complex mathematical models used for pricing, risk management, and algorithmic trading. You will collaborate closely with traders, portfolio managers, and technology teams to drive innovation and enhance the firm's competitive edge in the global financial markets. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, backtest, and implement quantitative trading strategies and algorithms. Build and maintain sophisticated mathematical models for derivatives pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization. Analyze large datasets to identify market patterns, trading opportunities, and sources of alpha. Collaborate with the technology team to ensure robust and scalable implementation of models and trading systems. Conduct thorough research on market microstructure, economic factors, and emerging financial trends. Monitor the performance of trading strategies and models, making necessary adjustments and improvements. Provide quantitative support to trading desks and portfolio management teams. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies. Communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Stay abreast of academic research and industry advancements in quantitative finance.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantitative analysis, trading, or portfolio management within the financial industry. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R, and experience with data analysis libraries. Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives, econometrics, and statistical modeling techniques. Experience with machine learning techniques and their application in finance is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
