Our client, a globally recognized investment bank, is seeking a highly analytical Senior Quantitative Analyst to join their sophisticated financial modeling team. This role will be based in our Dallas, Texas, US office and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for collaboration and flexibility. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing complex financial models, pricing derivatives, and managing risk for a diverse portfolio of financial products.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and validate sophisticated quantitative models for pricing, hedging, and risk management of various financial instruments (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives). Analyze market data, identify trends, and assess the impact of economic factors on portfolio performance. Collaborate closely with traders, portfolio managers, and risk management teams to provide quantitative insights and support trading strategies. Build and maintain robust analytical tools and systems to support trading desks and risk operations. Conduct rigorous back-testing and stress-testing of models to ensure accuracy and reliability. Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies. Stay current with advancements in financial engineering, quantitative finance, and relevant regulatory changes. Contribute to the development of new financial products and strategies by providing quantitative expertise. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the team's intellectual capital and best practices. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to optimize trading strategies and risk exposures through quantitative analysis.
Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or risk management within the investment banking or financial services industry. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or R, and experience with financial libraries. In-depth knowledge of financial markets, derivative pricing, and risk management methodologies. Experience with large datasets and databases, including SQL. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with front-office trading systems is a plus. Familiarity with machine learning techniques applied to finance is desirable. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a hybrid work structure.
