This role is pivotal in developing and implementing complex mathematical models and pricing tools for a wide range of financial derivatives and trading strategies. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and technology teams to drive innovation in financial modeling and risk management.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and implement quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and hedging of various financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities. Perform complex mathematical and statistical analysis on large datasets to identify market trends and opportunities. Collaborate with front-office traders and portfolio managers to understand their needs and translate them into quantitative solutions. Develop robust back-testing methodologies and performance analysis for trading strategies and models. Contribute to the enhancement of existing trading systems and risk management platforms by providing quantitative insights and solutions. Research and implement cutting-edge quantitative techniques and technologies in finance. Ensure all models are well-documented, comply with regulatory requirements, and adhere to internal risk management policies. Work closely with software developers to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of quantitative models into production systems. Mentor junior quantitative analysts and contribute to the team's overall technical growth. Present complex quantitative findings and model methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management. Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or risk management within investment banking, hedge funds, or asset management. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Java, or R. Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives pricing, and risk management principles. Proficiency with statistical modeling, time series analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and other advanced quantitative techniques. Experience with large-scale data analysis and database technologies (e.g., SQL, Kdb+). Excellent problem-solving abilities and a rigorous analytical mindset. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
