This position is ideal for a bench scientist who embraces process discipline, thrives in a collaborative biotech environment, and is eager to expand their skillset in a fast-paced, startup-minded team.

Key Responsibilities

· Contribute to the antibody (i.e., VHH) discovery and development process through applying knowledge of molecular biology, genetic engineering, and chemistry to build the next generation of peptide display platforms

· Prepare and execute phage display campaigns including library construction, phage panning and clone screening

· Execute molecular biology workflows such as mRNA isolation, cDNA synthesis and DNA cloning

· Perform ELISA and other protein–protein interaction assays (e.g., BLI, SPR) to evaluate binding characteristics

· Contribute to data analysis, documentation, and scientific discussions across teams

· Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, and excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills

· Present experimental results at internal team meetings

· Periodic travel to Chengdu, China may be required

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field

· 2–3 years of experience in phage antibody discovery in a biotech, pharma or academic setting

· Demonstrated hands on expertise in executing phage display antibody discovery workflows, including phage panning, clone recovery, and downstream characterization of enriched binders

· Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry (FACS)

· Proficiency in advanced molecular cloning methodologies (e.g., Gibson assembly, Golden Gate, site-directed mutagenesis)

· Familiarity with protein biophysics and design, including ELISA, BLI, DSF, or similar methods.

· Excellent collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.

· Demonstrated scientific productivity (publications, presentations, or patents).

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be available to start immediately.

Preferred (not required):

· Experience with single domain antibody discovery and optimization
