Senior Research Engineer / Si Photonics Process Integrator

Job Description

As part of National Semiconductor Translation and Innovation Center (NSTIC), the candidate will work with the Silicon Photonic team in developing and fabricating silicon photonics applications. The candidate’s main responsibility will be an integrator who works with cross‑functional teams from design, integration to advanced process module teams, developing feasible manufacturable process and integration flow.

Responsibilities

• Process development for Silicon Photonics application.

• Process control monitoring, metrology, data analysis, and documentation.

• Design of experiments (DOE) in integration flow and module development.

• Liaise between design, fabrication, and testing teams to ensure smooth process integration and device fabrication.

• Present and discuss experimental data to the team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or equivalent.

• Good understanding of lithography, etching, furnace, etc.

• Experience in semiconductor industry is preferred, particularly in silicon photonics.

• Good critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.

• Able to work with cross‑functional team, with good communication/presentation skill.

• Able to work in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.

• Comfortable to work in a cleanroom environment.
