Responsibilities include:
Conducting in-depth analysis of insurance risks, including market, credit, operational, and underwriting risks. Performing stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the resilience of the company's risk profile under various adverse conditions. Monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs) and developing dashboards and reports for management oversight. Collaborating with underwriting, claims, and actuarial departments to ensure a holistic approach to risk management. Researching and staying informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to the insurance sector. Recommending and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls. Contributing to the development and enhancement of the company's enterprise risk management (ERM) program. Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels, including executive management. Mentoring junior analysts and contributing to the team's overall knowledge base.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree or relevant professional designation (e.g., FRM, PRM) is a strong plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in risk management, quantitative analysis, or financial modeling within the insurance industry is essential. Deep understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements is critical. Strong proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or VBA is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to effectively translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations.
